How the trial works
- 01
Download & install
Run the installer — a normal app on Windows, a guided native install on macOS and Linux. Nothing leaves your network — Revuo is self-hosted.
- 02
Launch — trial starts automatically
On first launch the app derives a stable machine ID, asks our portal for a trial licence, and you’re running. No sign-up.
- 03
14 days of full Pro, locked to this PC
You get every feature for 14 days. The trial is bound to this machine — one trial per PC, regardless of email.
- 04
Buy to keep going
When the trial ends, buy Revuo Pro and paste your licence key into the app. The same install just keeps working.
- Do I need to sign up first?
- No. Download, run, and the trial starts on first launch. You only create an account when you buy.
- What’s the catch with “one trial per PC”?
- The trial is bound to a hashed hardware ID, not your email, so creating new accounts won’t reset it. This keeps the offer sustainable — it’s a free 14-day evaluation, not a permanent free tier.
- Is my footage uploaded anywhere?
- No. Revuo is self-hosted; everything runs on your machine and review links are served from infrastructure you control. We never see your clips, comments, or clients’ data.
- What about macOS and Linux?
- Both are supported. Pick your platform in the dropdown above — the installer handles a native install on each (launchd on macOS, systemd on Linux). macOS needs Apple Silicon.
- Do the plugins need a licence?
- No. The Premiere and Resolve plugins are free to download and use, including during the trial. They talk to whatever Revuo install you’ve set them to point at.
